About Eva Ibbotson

Eva Ibbotson (1925–2010) was born in Vienna, but when the Nazis came to power her family fled to England and she was sent to boarding school. She became a writer while bringing up her four children, and her bestselling novels have been published around the world. Her books have won and been shortlisted for many prizes.

Prunella Scales, CBE, is an English actress, best known for her role as Basil Fawlty’s long-suffering wife in the British comedy Fawlty Towers and for her award-nominated role as Elizabeth II in the British film A Question of Attribution.
