"This has weird aunts and family trama, but also time travel to a turbulent time in world history. Another brother and sister duo, but this one has also has another brother and sister set of twins. This is good to recommend to kids who like 39 clues and The Red Pyramid."

" This was a quick, fun, simple read. Not particularly memorable. I say this because I was a few chapters into it this time before I realized I'd read it before, not that long ago. "
— Colin, 2/15/2014" This book did not have enough action. If you like history then you would like this book, but personally I don't love history so I didn't love The Golden Hour. "
— Tommy, 2/8/2014" I really liked the time-travel premise, but I felt that the main character acted much younger than his stated age, and either needed a large injection of hormones, or needed his age dropped. "
— Rose, 2/5/2014" I absolutely love historical fiction and this is an easier one but I quite like it...good settings and characters! "
— Tabitha, 1/19/2014" Tweens who enjoyed the "Magic Treehouse" books when they were younger would probably enjoy this story. My 13-year-old really liked it and bugged me until I read it. "
— Susan, 1/12/2014" It started off good, but started to lose me toward the end... "
— Anita, 1/3/2014" This was my favorite books as child long before I loved reading. The story was so adorable. An elevator that could take you to any place and time that you wanted to go definitely makes for an interesting story. "
— Camryn, 1/2/2014" Nice mid-grade read. "
— Bobbi, 12/30/2013" I picked this book up for $1 at my favorite local used bookstore. It was worth my dollar, and probably a little more. It's not going on my favorites shelf, but I did enjoy it. Then again, I like almost every book I read... "
— Kylie, 12/24/2013" It's a really enjoyable book "
— Jordan, 12/16/2013" I love this book, but sadly I don't own it "
— Megan, 12/15/2013" good book funny and some history and a twist at the end. I recamend it to emma "
— Isaac, 10/8/2013" This book is an entertaining time travel adventure. I enjoyed the characters and pace of the story. Once the kids figure out how to travel, the bulk of the story takes place in France just prior to the Reign of Terror. It was pretty creative. "
— Wendee, 8/1/2013" I read it in danish about 3 years ago and i really loved it! "
— Ida, 6/29/2013" A very original and descriptive read. The characters are fun and memorable and it is a good and exciting read for all ages. Can't go without reading the sequel! "
