Nathan Hurst hated Christmas. For the rest of the world, it was a day of joy and celebration; for Nathan it was simply a reminder of the event that destroyed his childhood. But then a snowstorm, a canceled flight, and an unexpected meeting with a young mother and her very special son show him that Christmas is indeed the season of miracles.

Here is a heartwarming and inspirational Christmas novel in the tradition of The Christmas Box and Finding Noel. Sure to be a classic, this new tale brings to life the joy of the season and demonstrates the redemptive power of love.

" This book was better than I predicted! I appreciated the message and the emotion in this book. Great read for the holiday or ANYTIME at all! "

" I recall having read The Christmas Box years ago, and remember thoroughly enjoying it. I really enjoyed reading this book. I couldnt put it down actually. Finished it in one day. A great story of love, faith, and healing. The only reason I didnt give this book a 5 star rating was for the religious undertones towards the end of the book, and the lead character made an anti gay statement. The story nonetheless is beautiful and very much worth reading. "

" A beautiful story of a mother's love, a little boy with a special gift who shares it unselfishly at the risk of loosing his own life and a man who found out that there was good in life with the unselfishness of others. "

" This book was seriously sooo lame. We listened to it on the drive from CA to UT because we didn't have any other good book options. It was so silly, I was lauging aloud most the time. "

" Although I am a big Richard Paul Evans fan, this was not my favorite of his books. His writing is very poetic and all his books include sweet, warm love stories that I enjoy. This one was no different but it just seemed a little too fantastic and predictable. The villains were not believable and the man's past too contrived. It is a fast read and I didn't not enjoy it but it didn't stand up to the books I've currently been enjoying. "

" I always appreciate Richard Paul Evans novels. His books have good messages and I can always count on appropriate content. His Christmas books put me in the mood for the holidays and are the right length and reading level for the crazy holiday season (when I have less reading time). "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Kirsten | 10/19/2013

" This book reminded me of the kind of stories that they use for Hallmark movies. It had all the important elements: joy, sadness, and wonder. Although the ending was predictable, it was overall a good read. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Tina Mangan | 10/9/2013

" This is a quick read that I thoroughly enjoyed. Sometimes we waste so much time living in the past instead of enjoying what we have in front of us today. Makes you think about love and loss and what a gift we have in front of us at this moment. Enjoy "

" I have never read a RPE book i didn't enjoy and recommend. What's different about "the gift" is that it was like reading RPE for the first time and I remembered why I fell in love with "The Christmas Box" "

" This audiobook was a quick listen! I would've given it three stars, but at the end of the audiobook, he peddles his online community for $10 to join and $9.95 per month. That was a turnoff! Otherwise, it was some pretty good, if not old advice. "
