"Brad Meltzer has become my new favorite author. It combines a great plot, with fascinating characters and adds just the right amount oh humor. I think that Meltzer creates characters that everyone can relate to. His books tend to make me continue reading until I get to the end. "

" The First Counsel is Brad Meltzer's third book, and like his previous books it was well written and hard for me to put down. I have to say that I liked the first two a little better, possibly because this one dealt with the powers and privileges that come along with being a member of the white house family, or may be it was because I felt part of the plot was a little unbelievable. It was a good story for the most part, with twists and turns like his other books, and I must say that I did not predict the ending. I think that is an important part of a good plot/book and I guess that's why I'd say that I actually liked this one. Overall, I enjoy Meltzer's writing, and I would definitely recommend any of his books for someone to read. I will continue to read what he publishes, but I would recommend one of his other books over this one. "

" I have always loved Brad Meltzer's books, but this one was over the edge. I didn't appreciate the foul language. It was an intriguing book, and I read it in just a few days, but it is not one I would recommend. Maybe it is the "real world". If it is, heaven help us all if the First Family is as screwed up as this one is! I have faith that a family in this position would have their priorities in better order than this. "
