"I recently started to read Beverly Lewis once again. I started the Annie's People series, I realized immediately why I so enjoyed her books so many years ago. Her style of Amish storytelling is incredible and pulls you right into the Amish way of life. Book one stayed with me until I finished it and then truly couldn't wait to start book two and I am currently on book three. The first of the two books that I have read recently has gave me a wonderfully warm return to continue to the next book. I have to give her a rating of all the stars from above!"
— Sunny (5 out of 5 stars)
“This stand-alone sequel to The Preacher's Daughter offers vivid portraits of faith in the modern world.”
— Barnes & Noble, editorial reviews" Clean, interesting, learned a lot I didn't know about Amish faith. A little confusing and some points not well explained. "
— Apzmarshl, 2/19/2014" It was good but it was drug out needlessly. "
— Elesa, 2/17/2014" Second book of Annie's people series. Scene is an Amish community but there is mystery. And the cute guy on the cover is part of the mystery which is not answered in this book but adds more to the mystery and questions surrounding the mysterious events that happened 16 years prior. "
— Mary, 2/14/2014" I love all of Beverly Lewis' books. I had the privilege of meeting her a couple of years ago. She is a lovely person who took the time to talk for a few minutes to everyone who stood in line at the book signing. "
— Mary, 2/14/2014" Very intriguing! and a Wonderful-good story! "
— Anna, 2/9/2014" Starting to get frustrated with the endings of this series. There is very little to no closure. But, it reads so real to me and I ache for the characters. Trying to decide if I should read the next one or not. I can't seem to imagine a way for everything to work out for everyone. "
— Carrie, 1/19/2014" Second in a series - so predictable, "
— Eileen, 1/18/2014" Wonderful wholesome love stories from amish country. "
— Maura, 1/17/2014" This is not my favorite series of Beverly Lewis, this second book did help it along some, but there is so much sadness. "
— Marianne, 1/13/2014" I enjoy Beverly Lewis' Amish Books. "
— Inspired, 1/11/2014" I thought this was the sequel to The Covenant. I was very confused until I noticed that her books are in series. This book is #2 of Annie's People. The Covenant is Book 1 of Abram's Daughters. "
— Diane, 1/11/2014" I have always been intrigued with the Amish people. This tells about their way of life and trying to live apart but interacting with the outside people or the Englisher as we are called. I liked the book, however didn't start on the first book of the series, but will go on to the 3rd. "
— Leslie, 12/29/2013" Annie's People series was my second favorite series. I would start with this series or Abrams Daughters. You might be surprised how fascinating the Amish are...or maybe it is just me. "
— Ang, 12/22/2013" I was a little disappointed in this book. It left some questions at the end. I need to read the next book. I like the premise of the story. "
— Kathy, 12/22/2013" FANTASTIC. Second book of the series and I cannot wait to start the third. I think I am turning amish. "
— Bonnie, 12/17/2013" Another great novel from Beverly Lewis "
— Samantha, 12/17/2013" First of all, I do not like romance books. This is a book is a totally predictable book that leaves the reader unsatisfied and disturbed by the fact that no one has their own free will to decide their own future. "
— Linda, 11/29/2013" This was definitely better than book one. I think I'll stick out the series. Overall, they are a good, clean read! "
— Beth, 7/18/2013" was excited to get to the next book........ "
— Linda, 6/30/2013" This book was okay. I enjoyed the Amish part of it, but the storyline was pretty depressing. Still, a well-written book. "
— Katelyn, 5/25/2013" this book kept my interested the whole time. liked how some out comes weren't what i was expecting. "

— Kelly, 9/12/2012" This series is growing on me. The writing style doesn't bother me anymore and the story has really pulled me along. Definitely enjoying it more than I originally anticipated. "
— Cara, 7/4/2012" I enjoyed the first book of this series, but I enjoyed this one even more. The plot definitely thickens In this continuation of the story of Annie's People. There are external and internal struggles that i can relate to in this book as well as spiritual battles. Very good book! "
— Priscilla, 5/17/2012" I think I would have enjoyed this whole series more if I had not read a series with a VERY similar plot in the past 6 months. Lewis's books are like low-cal brain candy (and I mean that in a nice way). Goes down easy and doesn't do damage to a body. A christian alternative to Danielle Steele. "
— Owen, 5/16/2012" Great sequel to the first book ;) "
— C, 5/3/2012" An interesting insight into the Amish way of life. I found that these people with their religious beliefs have their problems in keeping their younger generations from becoming imbued with the worldly or 'Englishers' way of life and how they deal with transgressors. "
— Ruth, 3/28/2012" The second book in this series. . .as good as the first. "
— Natalie, 3/15/2012" Good book. Definitely left room for the next book in the series. "
— Melissa, 1/20/2012" Book 2 of 3... I'm really enjoying this series! Of course, Amish fiction is something I've read sparingly but enjoyed for the most part. Glad to own these books, as I'm splitting them up with other types of reads. "
— Stacy, 8/29/2011" We think the Amish life is always simple but Annie Zook proves us different. "
— Grandma,Mary, 7/12/2011" A nice read but not the best Amish novel I've read. It left too many open ends, even if there is a sequel. "
— Bonnie, 6/16/2011" was excited to get to the next book........ "
— Linda, 2/5/2011" The story line has continued with the second book in this 3 book series. I am very curious to see how the relationship between Annie and Ben plays out as well as for Lou and Sam. Again a very interesting look into the Amish community. "
— Rolanda, 1/23/2011" The ending was kind of a disappointment but the storyline was great up until the end. (Just my opinion...) "
— Joann, 11/17/2010" This author has excellent character development - sucks you right into the story! "
— Emsmith, 11/16/2010" A great continuation of this series. I want to get to the conclusion and see where it all ends up. "
— Jodie, 7/4/2010" I liked this book. It was an easy read and pretty predictable plot, but still informative about the Amish way of life. "
— Bbaker2788msn.com, 5/5/2010" This series is growing on me. The writing style doesn't bother me anymore and the story has really pulled me along. Definitely enjoying it more than I originally anticipated. "
— Cara, 4/30/2010" This is book two in a series of three. I like the story, but the author is belaboring a good idea. This book of three should be just one book. When will it end? "
— Jessie, 3/7/2010" I was a little disappointed in this book. It left some questions at the end. I need to read the next book. I like the premise of the story. "
