" Actually 3.5. Had to take a 1/2 star off for Jenoff's implausible habit of making people appear out of nowhere. It also happened in Kommandant's Girl. It's a spoiler but you'll see what I mean. That being said, I did enjoy the book and liked the ending when everything came together. "

" First-person present is one of my least favorite narrative voices, and Marta never really developed a unique or gripping voice to make me forget that. I made it through about 110 pages before giving up. Too bad, because the plot seemed decent. "

" I read this book first. I almost didn't finish it. It is laughably far fetched. I don't know why I gave her another chance and read the Kommandant's Girl, but I am glad I did. That book is much better. "

" Great read full of romance, suspense, adventure, mystery and a bit of a twist at the end. Though some parts are a bit unrealistic, overall a good read. "

" This was a interesting follow up to the Kommadant's girl, at first you wonder how this is a follow up because it focuses on Marta the girl that was shot on the bridge in order to save her friend. It does manage to fill in the most of blanks left from the previous book. "
