About the Author

Tony Johnston’s many acclaimed picture books include The Worm Family. Any Small Goodness: A Novel of the Barrio, her first novel for young readers, was voted Children’s Book of the Year by the Southern California Booksellers Association. She lives in San Marino, California.

About the Narrators

Carol Monda is an award-winning actor known for her work in Out of Season, After You Left, and The Gentlemen. She is an accomplished voice-over artist and an AudioFile Earphones Award–winning audiobook narrator, having lent her voice to over one hundred audiobooks, including New York Times bestsellers by Jodi Picoult, Lucia Berlin, Lisa Jackson, Chuck Palahniuk, Colum McCann, and Carla Neggers.

Lizan Mitchell has won the prestigious Audie Award for best narration as well as eight Earphones Awards. She appears frequently on episodic television and more recently in the feature film The Human Stain.

Henry Strozier has appeared in numerous films, including Contact, You Don’t Know Jack, Thirteen Days, and Sex in the City. Also a voice-over artist, he has worked extensively in video games and audiobook narration.

Pete Bradbury has appeared both on and off-Broadway and at many of the leading regional theaters across the country in plays ranging from Shakespeare and Molière to Edward Albee and David Mamet. He has also been seen on the CBS miniseries Sally Hemings. A former company member of the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, Bradbury received his training in their three-year advanced program. He lives in New York City with his family.

Graham Winton is a television, film, and voice actor. He has appeared on such television shows as Blue Bloods, Law & Order, All My Children, and As the World Turns. Also an audiobook narrator, his readings include Crow’s Landing by Brad Smith, What Came from the Stars by Gary D. Schmidt, and The Amarillo Trail by Jory Sherman.

Brian Hutchinson is a stage, film, and television actor. He has appeared in several Broadway and off-Broadway plays, and his acting credits include the films Vino Veritas, Love and Other Drugs, and Sudden Death. He lives in New York City.

Stina Nielsen is an actress and audiobook narrator. Her reading of Kevin Henke’s Junonia earned her a 2011 Best Voice from AudioFile magazine.
