Jan Berenstain and her husband, Stan, were already successful cartoonists for magazines and adult humor books when they began writing children's books. Julia Barnett-Tracy
is an established actress and writer based in Austin, Texas. She wrote and
starred in the play Modern Missionary,
which was awarded best play at the New York International Fringe Festival in
2006, and has also appeared in many New York based television and theater roles
including Law and Order and 30 Rock. Julia and her husband Van have
two children, Zander and Lydia. In addition to writing and acting, Julia is
also the international choir operations director at African Children’s Choir.
