About the Author
Author Beatrix Potter

Helen Beatrix Potter (1866–1943) was born in London, England. Raised by governesses, she had little social interaction and no formal education except for some art lessons. She began writing her illustrated tales at the age of twenty-four for some children she knew. Her books have been translated into nearly every language and have never been out of print.
