While baby-sitting for an infant, a girl is awakened by a strange elderly woman who says the baby is choking. The girl rushes into the nursery and pulls out a necklace and locket. The woman disappears. The girl opens the locket and sees a picture of the woman. From the baby’s parents, the girl learns that the woman was the baby’s grandmother who died days before the infant was born.

Allan Zullo is the author or coauthor of more than eighty paperbacks for adults and children. A native of Rockford, Illinois, Zullo graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1969 with a degree in journalism. His books include The Baseball Hall of Shame and Baseball Confidential (both co-written with Bruce Nash), A Boomer’s Guide to Grandparenting (co-written with his wife Kathryn), and the Haunted Kids series. Zullo has also written articles for The National Enquirer, The Christian Science Monitor, Ladies Home Journal, and The Palm Beach Post. His syndicated comic strip “The Ghost Story Club” ran in American newspapers from 1995 to 1998. Zullo currently lives in Fairview, North Carolina.
John Ratzenberger was a house framer living in London when he began his career in the performing arts. His first role was a patron in The Ritz. He appeared in minor roles in movies including Firefox, A Bridge Too Far, Superman, Superman II, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Motel Hell, Gandhi, and others. He is best known for playing mailman Cliff Clavin on the sitcom Cheers and for providing a voice part in all of Pixar’s feature films. John is on the boards of Pepperdine and Sacred Heart Universities.
