" Was expecting more considering the raving review... Kinda boring in my opinions "

" Loving this juicy fun book! I am listening to it and the narrator is Britsh and perfect for the part of the main character. "

" The Agency is a quick-moving mix of sex, murder, and humor. The narrator, Tess Drake, is a literary agent who wants to break away from her Cruella D'Ville-type boss and start her own agency. Drake is a very sassy, sexual, and sarcastic character-there are times when you root for her, and times you say, "You had it coming to ya!" I enjoyed the read-it's quick-paced, quirky, and a fun adventure told through the voice of a thirty-something independent and spunky woman's voice. "

" Loved this book, Agencies are so cut-throat, often ripe with vipers. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Tammy | 10/1/2013

" I have to admit... I'm a sucker for chick-lit mysteries. If you enjoyed Meg Cabot's Size 12 isn't fat series, or liked Goodnight Nobody by Jennifer Weiner-- you'll like this book. It's fun, fast-paced, and thoroughly entertaining. It won't win a Pulitzer Prize, and it is not great fiction, but the characters are definitely believable. Tess Drake is a tough top literary agent at a London entertainment agency, when her boss mysteriously dies. She takes the opportunity to start thinking about striking out on her own, and then all hell breaks loose. With fraud, manipulation, lies, jealousy, cheating and fighting, Tess will fall to the bottom of the industry and is even framed for murder. Tess is pretty flawed, so it makes for entertaining reading. The book will keep you laughing, and guessing about what will happen next. "

" I can't figure out why I gave this book 4 stars...maybe because it was set in GB or because it was actually written by one of my favorite authors..Brian Freeman..writing as a woman! The story was good..not great though...still I love that..guy writes book as a woman...Hmmmm "

" Tess Drake is a high powered talent agent working for a firm in London. The owner, her boss, is found murdered in a a compromising position and she becomes a suspect. Is she being framed by people she has hurt in the past? "

" This didn't seem to flow right to me. Main character, Tess, was a bit too masculine, or something. The way she described herself and her certain body parts ~ felt too much like a man trying to pose as a woman. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Brenda | 3/23/2012

" Actually, I would give this book 3 1/2 stars. I'm not really one for reading crass or vulgarities (I hear enough of it in real life & prefer to escape in my books). So, in this regard this book lost points for me. But that aside, the story itself really picked up near the end. Interesting ending. "

" unbelievable how self involved a person can be; but she finally gets what's coming to her, and yet manages to keep on going. so i learned some things from her, but materialistic and self centered are her real names! "

" Chick lit, with a literary agent as the main character. Kind of like Entourage, but with bad writing. "His hands squeezed my breasts like a greengrocer testing ripe grapefruits," and "His teeth were a row of snow-white soldiers" were my two favorites. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Molly | 9/21/2010

" Considering the main character Tess, is not likable, crude and has zero scruples, some how the author got me to care what happened to her, so I finished it. This book was predictable, but if you are not offended by crude chic lit you will enjoy. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Tina | 11/14/2009

" The main character is crude and ballsy but I ended up liking her in the end. The book is left open-ended (not annoyingly). I'm wondering if there is more to follow. "
