"I have to admit... I'm a sucker for chick-lit mysteries. If you enjoyed Meg Cabot's Size 12 isn't fat series, or liked Goodnight Nobody by Jennifer Weiner-- you'll like this book. It's fun, fast-paced, and thoroughly entertaining. It won't win a Pulitzer Prize, and it is not great fiction, but the characters are definitely believable. Tess Drake is a tough top literary agent at a London entertainment agency, when her boss mysteriously dies. She takes the opportunity to start thinking about striking out on her own, and then all hell breaks loose. With fraud, manipulation, lies, jealousy, cheating and fighting, Tess will fall to the bottom of the industry and is even framed for murder. Tess is pretty flawed, so it makes for entertaining reading. The book will keep you laughing, and guessing about what will happen next."

" The Agency is a quick-moving mix of sex, murder, and humor. The narrator, Tess Drake, is a literary agent who wants to break away from her Cruella D'Ville-type boss and start her own agency. Drake is a very sassy, sexual, and sarcastic character-there are times when you root for her, and times you say, "You had it coming to ya!" I enjoyed the read-it's quick-paced, quirky, and a fun adventure told through the voice of a thirty-something independent and spunky woman's voice. "

" This didn't seem to flow right to me. Main character, Tess, was a bit too masculine, or something. The way she described herself and her certain body parts ~ felt too much like a man trying to pose as a woman. "

" Actually, I would give this book 3 1/2 stars. I'm not really one for reading crass or vulgarities (I hear enough of it in real life & prefer to escape in my books). So, in this regard this book lost points for me. But that aside, the story itself really picked up near the end. Interesting ending. "

" Chick lit, with a literary agent as the main character. Kind of like Entourage, but with bad writing. "His hands squeezed my breasts like a greengrocer testing ripe grapefruits," and "His teeth were a row of snow-white soldiers" were my two favorites. "
