D. L. Garfinkle is a pseudonym of Debra L. Green. Garfinkle grew up in Los Angeles with an older sister and two younger brothers. She went to Brandeis University in Massachusetts and majored in economics, and received a law degree from UC Berkeley. She worked for a federal judge on the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for almost nine years. She loves to write, especially humor. Garfinkle currently lives in Orange County, California, with her family and dog.
