"Not quite as good as Blackbird. I had just read The Glass Castle, so it was hard not to compare the two books. I can't judge Jennifer Lauck, because she's been to hell and back, but it doesn't seem that she has healed yet from all her ordeals. Hopefully writing this book has helped her get there."

" I couldn't have felt worse for this girl. I felt like when she finally moved out of her 2nd set of adopted parents house my heart just swelled with pride for her. She really takes you through what she was feeling. I am going to read her book that precedes this sometime this month. "

" I praised Blackbird for being well edited, but Still Waters was not, at least not in the Kindle edition. The errors were distracting and the story lost credibility because of them. But the next book was well edited (only a few errors, which I gladly tolerated)and I again enjoyed Lauck's writing. "
