The action-packed and suspense-filled sequel to Adam Brookes’ outstanding thriller debut Night Heron

The danger has never been more real.

After his traumatic introduction to the shadowy world of international espionage that nearly got him killed in China, journalist Philip Mangan is keeping his head down. This time he is in East Africa, supposedly reporting on the local unrest. But nothing is ever that simple.

In his determination to get to the truth and redeem himself for his failures in China, Mangan finds himself in the middle of a dangerous conspiracy. And at every turn, the track he is following appears to snake back to Beijing.

Once again, Mangan is in over his head—and fighting to get out alive.
