Publisher Description

Luster, the world where the unicorns fled to escape the Hunters who have sworn to wipe them out, has dangers of its own - as Cara discovers when she attempts to cross that world in a desperate effort to rescue her grandmother.

Each stage of Cara's journey brings new peril, wondrous new characters, and new clues to the mystery of her grandmother's past. And through it all threads the haunting melody of the Song of the Wanderer, heard on this recording for the first time.

From the enchanting flute notes that introduce the story to its stunning conclusion, listeners will find themselves, like Cara, drawn heart and soul into the wonder of Luster.

"Read this yesterday after finishing the first in the series, they were both better than I was expecting! Full of interesting characters, and the author didn't repeat the entire plot of the first book! Just the kind of book you want to read when you're sick and don't want to concentrate too much :D"

" i got this book in either fifth grade or middle school at a book fair and it was amazing. what little girl doesn't love unicorns? i can't remember whether this was before or after i read the last unicorn, although i'm pretty sure it was after. just pure, magical fun, with strong female protagonists (and antagonists) in the spirit of tamora pierce.
