Dr. Siri Bergman runs a private psychotherapy practice in central Stockholm with her best friend Aina. Since her husband’s death in a diving accident, Siri has lived alone in an isolated cottage outside the city. Terrified of the dark, she drinks wine to steady her nerves and leaves the lights on when she goes to bed, unable to shake the feeling that someone is watching through her windows. When the lifeless body of a young patient is found floating in the water near Siri’s cottage, she knows that someone has been watching her—and he’s coming for Siri next. But she is not alone. With a young policeman named Markus, she begins her own investigation. As Siri’s past and present start to merge and disintegrate, virtually everyone in her inner circle becomes a potential suspect.
A breathtaking reading experience, mixing hairpin-turn plot twists with gorgeously lyrical prose, Some Kind of Peace is keeping readers all over the world on the edges of their seats.

"I found this book refreshing. It wasn't a police procedural but close. Siri is a Psychologist and has several patients. She finds one of them drowned near her house, only to find out she was murdered. Siri found out the killer was after her. I spent my last 10 years working in the cutter unit of a hospital. I think these women told a great story that you never hear of. My hats off to you ladies."

“Tense and chilling, this is a thriller for readers who also enjoyed Camilla Lackberg’s The Ice Princess.”
— Booklist“This powerful first in a new thriller series from Swedish sisters Grebe and Träff introduces a delightfully flawed heroine…The action moves swiftly to a surprising climax.”
— Publishers Weekly (starred review)“Sisters Camilla Grebe and Åsa Träff dig deep into the cold climes of the human heart in this sharp, atmospheric thriller. First rate writing and unusually absorbing characters. Loved this book.”
— Perri O’Shaughnessy, New York Times bestselling author of Unlucky in Law and Show No Fear" Won this book through a First Reads Giveaway. I enjoyed this book. Read the book while I was on vacation and it was a nice read while riding the train home from Michigan. "
— Rita, 2/8/2014" Unbedint das Trauma danach lesen ;-) "
— Anna, 1/29/2014" I really liked this book, but have to admit sometimes it did get confusing switching back and forth between patients and characters. I'm usually pretty good at figuring out who done it, but I was off in this book. Good Read. "
— Michele, 1/20/2014" Woot Woot! LOVED IT!!!!!! "
— Pauline, 1/8/2014" This book is a terrific read. The ending is quite a surprise and I love the main character, Siri. She is vunerable, but not in a needy way - liked her alot. "
— Kathryn, 1/1/2014" probably a 3.5 I liked it enough that I want to read their next book....but I didn't have any trouble setting it down either. "
— Shelley, 12/7/2013" Can't wait for the next book. "
— Redreader, 11/9/2013" HB -- 2.5 at best -- the authors drop an ending that makes no sense. This is a story of a therapist who is haunted by her husband's drowning and then she is stalked by someone who wants her attention. Maybe the authoresses next book will drop clues so that by the end it makes sense. "
— Irene, 11/5/2013" Fast-moving psychological thriller from a pair of Scandinavian sisters. Quite well done. "
— Terri, 10/1/2013" Another very good Swedish author...can't wait for the English translation of the other books "
— Liz, 9/24/2013" 3.5 stars. Better than the usual psychological/suspense thriller. This one is different. I did have a hard time putting it down. Recommend for a quick, none serial killer, none police type of escape. "
— Roxanne, 8/9/2013" a beach read. well crafted. not memorable. "
— Susanne, 8/6/2013" A well written thriller/mystery from a sister writing team. I look forward to their next installment. "
— Stacey, 5/20/2013" Loved it!! Very well written, complex characters. "
— Stephanie, 5/18/2013" disappointing. Siri is afraid of the dark and yet lives in a cottage in the middle of nowhere. With the lights blazing all night, it's a stalker's or peeping Tom's heaven! And Siri is a psychologist. Go figure, I couldn't. It wasn't totally bad, because I did finish the thing. "
