"I marked this one as amazing because it was one of my favorite books to read when i was a kid (but then what do you expect from a cat lover?). I reread it i don't even know how many times I recently found it on one of the bookshelves in my mom's basement and reapprorpiated it for my collection. You have to keep a few things like that (even though i am currently trying to rid myself of all extraneous junk...)"

" Neil Patrick Harris narrated this audiobook, which was a fun look at having a new baby in the house, from the cat's perspective. Might be a good book to have kids read when parents are expecting a new baby, to help prepare them for the baby taking away their parents' attention. "

" An extremely warm-hearted book with a good message. I appreciate the ability of the author, Beverly Cleary, to clearly identify with what readers like me want in a good book. Socks always has been my favorite book :). "

" This one is kind of slow, there probably aren't too many kids who will stick to it all the way to the end, which is too bad because the last chapter is the best one. I was expecting the whole book to be filled with cute little antics between the baby and the cat, but that didn't happen until the very end. It's still a cute book especially for cat lovers, but it's not the best book Cleary has written. "

" Read this aloud to my 7 and 4 year olds. Not the most interesting story (I remembered it being better from when I read it as a kid), but it seemed to hold their attention fairly well. The liked the last chapter the best by far. "
