Publisher Description

As the pampered wife of Frankie Bingham, Camille wants for nothing. Frankie and their life together are her whole world, so she tries not to be bothered by his closeness with his coworker and dear friend Gillian. But it turns out Camille’s suspicions are warranted. When his indiscretions become a public matter, Camille is pushed to a dangerous breaking point that spells disaster for them all.

Camille’s sister Misa is newly divorced and clueless about men. She smothers men with phone calls and emails and shows up unannounced at their homes, always causing drama. When she sets her sights on Baron, he has no idea what hit him, and her quest to win his heart may cost her everything.

Dominique Storms appears to have it all—a great career, a beautiful New York City condo, and a gifted teenaged daughter. Her only problem is that the man she loves is incarcerated. While trying to juggle the demands of motherhood, work, and friendships, she manages to make her man, Jamel, a priority in her life. But is he doing the same? And is she too distracted to notice what is going on with her daughter?

Latoya Blake seems to be the one who has life all figured out. That is, until some skeletons are discovered in her closet. When her well-put-together façade crumbles, will she crumble as well?

Quotes

  • “Brown makes these desperate women amazingly sympathetic even as they make foolish choices, and the same goes for Frankie B., despite his appalling mistreatment of Camille. It all adds up to some seriously twisted problems leading to some cliffhanging shockeroos that undoubtedly mean a sequel is on its way.”

    — Publishers Weekly
  • “Fast and furious. Readers who like delving into complex relationships and characters creeping behind one another’s back will be drawn into this story involving five different love liaisons.”

" This book was good. I don't read too much hood lit but ever since reading "White Lines" I've been a Tracy Brown fan. The novel was like a hood soap opera with characters we probably all can relate to in some way or another (although we may not admit to it out loud). I had to give a side-eye to the ending but it all made sense. I'm ready for Part 2! "

" From the very first chapter it was intense and full of emotion. The characters were pure throughout. Several separate story lines intertwined magically. It finishes as a juicy cliffhanger that leaves you drooling for more. Next stop: AFTERMATH! "
