S'Mother is a hilarious memoir based on 30 years of unsolicited advice, news updates, and opinions in the form of thousands of inappropriate, embarrassing, and utterly crazy letters showing the pathological extremes maternal instincts can take. Why is a grown woman so frantic that her adult son screw on his windows to keep out killer bees? Are adult trick-or-treaters really that much of a threat? Adam saved his mom's letters as proof this all happened and reproduces many of them in the book. And now, with time, perspective, and plenty of therapy, he acknowledges and accepts the comedy of it all and is proud to share his story with you, if for no other reason than to make you feel better about your own mother.

"Content warning- some R rated language.\ I do have to say that I haven't read a book in a long time that I have laughed so hard over. This guy's Mother is completly unbelievable in her overprotectiveness so if you've ever thought your Mother or MIL was too clingy or embarrassing and if you can overlook the language and some of the subject matter it is HILARIOUS"

" A must-read for any mother sending her kid off to college this fall. "
— Z-lib, 1/29/2014" The funniest book I have ever read (listened to.). Highly recommend it to everyone! If possible listen to it. Narrated (well) by the author and his mother reading her own letters. Very short (only about 3 hours) and hilarious from beginning to end! "
— Darcy, 1/22/2014" Pretty funny. Liked reading his letters. "
— Sue-Ellen, 1/19/2014" Oh, my. Let's just say that the tone of these letters is awfully familiar.... "
— Beth, 12/27/2013" Okay, my mom isn't as bad as I thought.... "
— Sara, 11/11/2013" Hilarious book, and I highly recommend listening to it on CD read by the author and his mother. There were many parts that had me in tears from laughing so hard! "
— Michelle, 11/4/2013" I just didn't think it was that funny. Yes, his mom is way too involved in his life, but we all have annoying relatives. It was OK for an airplane read but it wouldn't be a book I'd recommend or read again. "
— Diedre, 8/29/2013" It was kind of funny but also seemed a little mean-spirited. "
— Laurie, 5/6/2013" I listened to this in Audio form. It was a little like an accident on the freeway. You wonder why you are listening (or reading. Makes most parents seem positively non-interfering. "
— Ruth, 11/13/2012" Parts were funny but I thought some of the things he said and some of his reactions were overly harsh and a little mean to his mom. Yeah, she's a nut but give her a little break :) "
— Tatrd, 1/25/2012" I couldn't finish this. I didn't find it funny or entertaining. "
— Debbie, 12/1/2011" It's aight... "
