Publisher Description

A wealthy, bestselling author, owner of a country estate a few miles outside Bristol, is drowned in her bath just days after being threatened by a seriously disturbed fan who has subsequently disappeared. The missing woman is the obvious suspect, and DC Sukey Reynolds and her friend and colleague DC Vicky Armstrong are given the task of finding her. But although the suspect is found this turns out to be just the start of the investigation. The apparently straightforward case becomes more complicated - with numerous twists and turns along the way.

" Police procedural story with deft word choice to show the personalities of the ongoing police characters without cluttering up the actual mystery story. Great use of language. Ending brought out information not alluded to—or examined by the police—and therefore made it seem a bit forced. "
