About Dandridge M. Malone

Dandridge M. Malone began his US Army career as a private and ended as a colonel almost thirty years later. During that time, he earned a BS degree from Vanderbilt University and an MS from Purdue and graduated from the Army’s Command and General Staff College and the Army War College. Renowned as the Army’s foremost expert on leadership, both in garrison and in combat, he has taught the subject to noncommissioned officers, West Point cadets, and students at various Army service schools. Retired in 1981, he resides in Florida.

Alan Bomar Jones is an actor and audiobook narrator. He is an award-winning resident artist with the Human Race Theatre Company of Dayton, Ohio, and with the American Stage Theatre Company of St. Petersburg, Florida, and has lent his deep baritone voice to audiobooks such as Marching for Freedom: Walk Together, Children, and Don’t You Grow Weary.
