Four-time New York Times bestselling author and talk show host Bethenny Frankel makes her fiction debut with the novel Skinnydipping: “A totally fun, dishy read. This is the kind of book that is perfect to pack in your beach bag” (Hollywood Reporter).
Beloved by countless fans for being devilishly dishy, outrageously funny, and always giving it to us straight, four-time New York Times bestselling author Bethenny Frankel now makes her fiction debut with the story of Faith Brightstone. Faith is an aspiring actress just out of college who moves to LA determined to have it all: a job on the most popular TV show, a beach house in Malibu, and a gorgeous producer boyfriend. But when reality hits, she finds herself with a gig as a glorified servant, a role that has more to do with T&A than acting, and a dead-end relationship. Finally, Faith decides she’s had enough of La La Land and moves back to New York with just a suitcase and her dog, Muffin.
Five years later, Faith has finally found her groove as an entrepreneur and manages to land a spot on a new reality TV show hosted by her idol—the legendary businesswoman and domestic goddess, Sybil Hunter. Diving into the bizarre world of reality TV, Faith’s loud mouth and tell-it-like-it-is style immediately get her in trouble with her fellow contestants, and she learns about betrayal.
As the show comes to a dramatic close, Faith discovers that the man of her dreams may have just walked into her life. Will she choose fame or love? Or can she have it all?

"I don't really see anyone who isn't a fan of Bethenny Frankel getting into this book. You more or less read it bc it offers some insight into her life. It basicaly follows her life, with a little change here and there. It's a nice light read if you are looking for something "fun" AND know who she is/like her."

“The pace moves as fast as a Hollywood rumor, and the voice—is all Bethenny.”
— Associated Press“Skinnydipping is a totally fun, dishy read. This is the kind of book that is perfect to pack in your beach bag.”
— Hollywood Reporter" We get it! it is the same story all over again. Bethenny is using her new found fame and cashing in on it. She is not an author, she should stick to what she knows. Did not like the book. "
— Niv, 2/18/2014" Love me some Bethenny!!! Easy, quick read! "
— Danielle, 2/4/2014" Light reading - good diversion from the impending snow storm. "
— Maureen, 1/23/2014" Much of it is based on her life but all the names are changed so VERY FUN GAME trying to piece it all together!!! "
— Morgan, 1/14/2014" A quick read.. entertaining.. I happen to really like Bethenny Frankel and give her credit for all she does. Not the best novel, not the worse, but worth the read, as I laughed out loud.. I found it difficult right from the beginning not to picture her as the main character "Faith". It was a very familiar story mirroring her own life in many ways.. :) "
— Deb, 1/10/2014" It was an interesting read, but a little autobiographical fiction I think. I'm a huge Bethenny fan and the main character Faith had a lot of similar traits to the author, but that's not a bad thing at all. She gets your attention from the first sentence and then is so beautifully tragic that you can't help but feel for her and are dying to know what happens to her next. "
— Heather, 1/8/2014" Great easy read! From watching Bethany and her shows on Bravo, you can tell some of the book is "fictionally autobiographical". Overall, a wonderful first step toward fiction writing for Bethany. "
— Amanda, 1/7/2014" Good beach read, found it entertaining, basically a fictional version of what happened to her in life "
— Christine, 1/3/2014" This is basically Bethenny's life, so if you want to know what it was like to grow up Bethenny, this is it. Easy, quick, fun read if you like her. If you don't, don't waste your time. "
— Chrissy, 12/23/2013" I received this book as a first reads giveaway. Was a great read from beginning to end. Glad I got a chance to read it. "
— Janine, 12/22/2013" Super easy, fun read. Perfect for summer. "
— Erin, 12/16/2013" Pre-ordered it today and hope it is here no later than next Wednesday! After Watergate, I could use something fun. Am interested to see how she does as a fiction writer. "
— Bobbi, 11/21/2013" Everything about it screams Bethenny. If you love her you'll love this book "
— Guinevere, 11/18/2013" funny, entertaining and a quick read - loved it! "
— Sarah, 9/8/2013" This was rather obviously an almost biography of Bethenny's life. Given that, I still really liked it! The LA years are a bit slow for me, but once the character goes to New York it got a lot more interesting. It was a great summer beach book- definitely entertaining and kept me interested. "
— Kelly, 5/23/2013" I cant believe i read a reality tv stars book about a reality tv show.... And i loved it! I really enjoyed the book, the character and the story was perfect for Summer! "
— JoAnn, 5/14/2013" I enjoyed this, it was cute, flirty, and fun. Basically her real life just a change of names and places. "
— Angela, 3/15/2013" In this age of reality-flooded media, this one was right in there. But it was actually very funny. A good light-hearted read. "
— Tamalam, 1/18/2013" Pure mindless beach book. But fun--I love Bethenny! "
— Susan, 1/1/2013" I read this book in 2 days. It was good, not great, but entertaining, none the less. "
— Caroline, 12/21/2012" Surprisingly good! I wasn't sure because this is Frankel's first foray into fiction. It was an easy read, but interesting. Also, it was fun to read a book intended for adults (not that I'm knocking Hunger Games). It was a funny book. "
— Lacey, 12/15/2012" I couldn't finish it. I got to her being accepted into the reality tv show and realized I didn't care about Faith's storyline anymore. I barely had any interest from the start. She wasn't the type of protagonist I can relate to so I felt no sympathy or kinship to her situations at all. "
— Kelly, 9/29/2012" I read most of this on a flight from east to west coast. its a great work of fiction and I love bethanny! "
— Jenn, 9/10/2012" slow start but picked up towards the second half. seems to mirror much of bethenny's life "
— Rachel, 8/16/2012" I loved this book it was a good summer read! I had a real hard time putting this book down I just wanted to keep reading to find out what happened next with Faith. "
— Kirsten, 8/6/2012" Fun read but I wanted it to be more witty than it was. "
— Lauren, 7/20/2012" Really funny, romantic, easy-to-read book! I love Bethenny she is such an inspiration and although this book is supposed to be fiction, it is truly about Bethenny's journey through life, just with made up names. "
