" In the beginning, the four clans- thunderclan, shadowclan, windclan, and riverclan are suffering from hot weather, lack of food and water. Then each clan sent 2 cats to explore why is the river not running. One of them, Dovepaw have this special power that she can sence farther than other cats can do. she senced that there are beavers and dams blocking the river. so they followed the river until they reached the place where beavers are. Then they fought the beavers and lost one of the cats. "

" The book dragged on for awhile, but I think what this books sets up for the rest of this series makes up for it. I have a good feeling about this series, and this was a good start to it. It might be as good as the first series of Warriors books. Tigerstar is coming back...a really good plot is heating up, and finally, the Warriors series will be as it once was: lots of mind-boggling deaths, power-hungry and revengeful cats, and many more secrets that will be revealed in unexpected ways in time.... " I preferred this to most of the books in the Power of Three arc, the narration from Dovepaw was less annoying than Jayfeather's, Hollyleafs, or Lionblazes and its always good to have a not-annoying protagonist. It felt more like the books in the first 2 arcs. "
