“The jury is in and the verdict is unanimous—Show No Fear is the hottest legal thriller of the year. Perri O’Shaughnessy is masterful.”
— Brad Thor, #1 New York Times bestselling author“Intriguing…O’Shaughnessy offers some surprising twists.”
— Publishers Weekly“Engaging characters, intriguing plot.”
— Booklist" These dazzling sister of mystery come up with another good read. We go back to 1990 (I usually HATE prequels, but this one was fun and informed us about the characters) when Nina is still a legal aid and going to school. Her son's suspected father is killed which starts Nina on her career as a superior mystery solver. "
— Audrey, 2/14/2014" Nuthin' special, but good enough to finish. I didn't know this was a pre-quel when I grabbed it at the libe. There's a whole series where the main character is a lawyer. In this one she is still a paralegal. "
— Rachel, 2/14/2014" While I liked this book, it was slow and hard to get into... then when it picked up, there was too much info and almost too many threads. I do think it may have been a good intro to the Nina Reilly series by the O'Shaughnessy sisters--we'll see as I head into them. "
— Anita, 2/13/2014" O'Shaughnessy offers some surprising twists. Engaging characters, intriguing plot "
— Walt, 2/8/2014" Backstory to an established series, and not very well done. Hey, if I can figure it out early on... And a clunky fight scene at the end. But interesting characters may inspire you to take a look at the other books. "
— Pamela, 1/30/2014" I jumped from suspecting one person to another and then another, including the actual perp. This one kept me guessing until the end. Quite the page-turner. "
— Linda, 1/23/2014" I like this series. This is the newest edition to a long list of books about Nine Reilly, a single mom/attorney. Most of the books are set in Lake Tahoe, but this one takes place before she arrives in Tahoe. These are good, no brainer lawyer/mystery novels. Not great literature but an entertaining read. "
— Julia, 1/14/2014" Since it was a prequel, I knew Nina survived. Most of the backstory came from other books so it seems a lazy way to write. "
— Linda, 1/13/2014" I really like their mystery books. This one is set in Carmel area. I like Nina Reilly "
— Gaurett, 12/19/2013" This is a thrilling prequel to the other Nina Reilly mysteries by the same author. For my full Vine review, please check the Amazon product page. "

— Michelle, 11/22/2013" Nina is a lawyer in Lake Tahoe raising a son alone. "
— Patty, 11/22/2013" I liked this book, though would have liked to have read it sooner. It explains a lot of the Nina Reily series. "
— Jen, 10/1/2013" I have read some books by this author before that I liked better. This one just didn't keep my interest as well. "
— Barbara, 7/25/2013" This is an okay book. I found that the plot did not really grab me. "
— Kaylie, 12/20/2012" I really didn't care for any of the characters in this mystery which made it a difficult book to enjoy! I found most of the story line to be unrealistic, especially the person who turned out to be the murderer. Nah, I didn't like it. "
— Su, 9/11/2012" Predictable. Language. No character development. People making the same dumb choices that have had serious, life altering consequences for them in the past. Meh. "
— Judy, 7/21/2012" It was ok, but I prefer the Women's Murder Club series by James Patterson. "
— Kerry, 11/1/2011" Oh man, these last two I have read have been fairly terrible and it makes me wonder if all the others have been also since it's been quite a while since I read any because I didn't know they were still writing them. "
— Sarah, 9/30/2011" This is a prequel to a series for which I have read almost all the books. Interesting to see how the characters I know came to be where they are in the later books. "
— K1d2, 9/25/2011" Prequel to the Nina Reilly series which I really enjoy...this one wasn't as good. Writing seemed sort of stiff and disjointed at times. Weird. "
— Christianne, 9/16/2011" This was a quick, easy read. It wasn't my favorite of her books but it was enjoyable. "

— Pmcdnld2, 11/13/2010" Not the best effort in this series, but a great thing to read with a throbbing head and bad cold. "
— Bethany, 10/13/2010" Was a bit slow. It goes back to before Nina was a lawyer in CA. "
— Wendy, 9/13/2010" Good book to see where Ms. Nina Reilly started out! "
— Michelle, 7/5/2010" Predictable. Language. No character development. People making the same dumb choices that have had serious, life altering consequences for them in the past. Meh. "

— Doris, 11/13/2009" While I liked this book, it was slow and hard to get into... then when it picked up, there was too much info and almost too many threads. I do think it may have been a good intro to the Nina Reilly series by the O'Shaughnessy sisters--we'll see as I head into them. "
