"My first 87th precinct novel. It was a bit "plain" for me as far as details go, but for a quick read it was definitely worth it. The mystery and the twist in it were great, but I'm hoping some lingering character sub-plots will be continued in the next book of the collection."

" Good old McBain. Quirky characters, dark humour, almost simplistic plots. Another good read. "
— Aileen, 8/12/2013" A very messy shotgun killing looks like a murder/suicide, but is it really? Another good 87th precinct book by Ed McBain. Some good twists and turns and eventually all is resolved, as it should be. "
— Cathy, 4/22/2013" Another great Ed McBain read. Fast paced page turner. "
— Mike, 9/29/2012" Your goto guy. McBain. When you can't figure out what else to read at 4am on a sleep-deprived morning. Even the filler is solid. "
