“If you don't make time for your wellness, you'll be forced to make time for your illness.” - Unknown. Those who have suffered illness can understand the magnitude of this quote. Those who have not suffered, must use it as an inspiration to cherish and make the time for their wellness.
My personal journey of wellness and illness has been treacherous at times, but very enlightening and full of experience, which carried wisdom and truth. I was forced to make time for my illness and, thankfully, I found my way back to wellness. I have worn many hats as a healthcare provider, which presented me with many points of view about wellness and illness.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t until I explored this journey as an unhealthy patient, that I truly understood more about it. Thankfully, I have a medical background that gave me a bird’s eye view of the road back to wellness. Nevertheless, there is no better teacher than first-hand experience.
A bird’s eye view lacks true compassion and nuance of all the pitfalls along the way. However, this education combined with personal experience brought me to the most important realizations. I hope to share with you the truths that I have learned and experienced in the hopes to shine a light on your journey back to wellness.
