About JaQuavis Coleman

JaQuavis Coleman, the New York Times bestselling author of the Dopeman’s Trilogy, first burst onto the scene at the age of eighteen and quickly became a nationwide literary phenomenon. He and his wife, Ashley Antoinette, have coauthored numerous “street fiction” classics. With the birth of the Cartel series, the “Ashley & JaQuavis” brand took off. In 2013 twenty-seven-year-old Coleman was honored by Ebony magazine as being one of the top one hundred most influential African Americans.

About the Narrators

James Langton, an Earphones Award–winning narrator, trained as an actor at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and later as a musician at the Guildhall School in London. He has worked in radio, film, and television, also appearing in theater in England and on Broadway. He is also a professional musician who led the internationally renowned Pasadena Roof Orchestra from 1996 to 2002.

L. Steven Taylor is a New York actor who has played on Broadway as both Mufasa and Scar in Disney’s The Lion King. In addition to being very active in the commercial and voice-over world, working for such names as McDonalds, Bounty, Burger King, and Nickelodeon, he is also an avid spoken-word artist—penning his own spoken-word series: Perspective. He can also be seen on television in Madam Secretary, Elementary, Person of Interest, and The Electric Company.
