" An older NR title that's been sitting on my TBR pile for way too long. This was her next title after Montana Sky, and nearly as good, although the killer in this one was more than a bit too obvious too early in the book. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Andrea | 1/28/2014

" Ok a lot of the story in this book was pretty good however the ending just felt really rushed to me and left me feeling let down after all the hype during the novel. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Wendy | 1/24/2014

" I almost quit listening as I really got tired of the whining Jo Ellen and her sister. Stuck with it and did find it enjoyable. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Kathy | 1/10/2014

" I love Nora Roberts but this one was just a little too intense (sick) on the violence and the character development was lacking. No emotional buildup, just "boom!" instantly "in love". Also I figured out "whodunnit" early early on; it was just blatantly obvious.Sorry I can't recommend this one. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Misskittykilpatrick | 12/17/2013

" I can't believe this book has such a low average rating. This was the first Nora Roberts novel I read and I loved it. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 JANET | 12/10/2013

" A LITTLE SLOW ON THE STORY LINE AND THEN OVER TOO FAST AT THE END. JO ELLEN HATAWAY TERRORIZED BY THE SON OF THE PERSON WHO KILLED HER MOTHER TWENTY YEARS AGO AND WAS NOW AFTER HER ON THE VACATION ISLAND OF DESIRE. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Celia | 11/8/2013

" One of my favorites by Nora Roberts. Definately keeps you guessing who until the very end. The character twists in this one were actually really well thought out and suprising. This book is what got my hooked on Nora Roberts. "

  • 1 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 5 Barbara | 10/25/2013

" Boring, slow moving, unlikeable characters, unpleasant to read. You can figure out the killer really fast. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Rexine | 12/31/2012

" I read a lot of bad reviews in this book but I really liked it. Her characters weren't as well described and enjoyable as in other novels but were still like able. Not one of my top 10 but not a waste of time. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Jodi | 7/5/2012
