"Good Book...My wife and I read it together and then was in a small marriage group through the book. I'm not going to lie, it is Very Trough Reading at least 40% of the time. Words you might have never even heard of! LOL We all said the same thing in our group, and thought we would have received more out of the reading if it was written a bit more simple. But it was wonderful and we grew spiritually and in our marriage. And that is what Matters! Thank You Jesus! :)"

" This book created some good conversations with my wife and I liked some of his main ideas (marriage isn't about you, etc). I didn't like a lot of the illustrations which ranged from "that's a stretch to make your point" to "I'm not sure that's really true". There were chapters that had a very mystical bent, which I think can be very unhelpful. It's a decent book, but there are many better titles on marriage. "
— Mike, 2/13/2014" About half way through and LOVING it. "
— Andrea, 2/11/2014" One of my very favorite books on marriage so far. It gives you a completely new perspective on the purposes of marriage and how to face every issue that comes up. Even just the sub-title gets you thinking: "What if God intended marriage to make you holy more than happy?" "
— Holly, 2/9/2014" Language was wordy and wasn't practical in applying to life. There was a little too much focus on the sexual and it was quite odd. "
— Becca, 1/28/2014" It was really great til the last 5 or so chapters, which just repeated the thesis over and over without any insightful stories or comments. Definitely a must-read for men and women though. "
— Julie, 1/26/2014" After finishing this book I would really prefer to give it 3.5 stars. The author pulls out some great truths the at the end. While it was a little slow going to begin with, it started pick up at the end. Also, I cannot round up to 4 stars because this book just doesn't quite make it. "
— Craig, 1/24/2014" Part of a study at church, very interesting. "

— doug, 1/18/2011" This was a long book. I felt like half of it was focused on dealing with a bad marriage which I found depressing. Some chapters toward the end were more encouraging. Ultimately the whole book can be summed up with "marriage is meant to make you holy, not happy." "
