Tom Hayden is the author of several books including Writings for a Democratic Society: The Tom Hayden Reader. He teaches sociology at Pitzer College in the Claremont Colleges, and his forthcoming book, The Long Sixties, From 1960 to Barack Obama was published in August.

Jane Mayer is a political writer for the New Yorker. Prior to that, she was a reporter at the Wall Street Journal, where she was a White House correspondent. Barton Gellman is a critically honored author, journalist and blogger based at the Century Foundation in New York. A longtime writer for The Washington Post, Gellman has led multiple teams to a Pulitzer Prize and was a member of the team that won the 2002 Pulitzer for National Reporting for coverage of the 9/11 attacks and their aftermath. Author of the bestselling Angler: The Cheney Vice Presidency, he is also a Lecturer and Author in Residence at Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School.
