About the Authors

Jerry West is widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time. After retiring from the Los Angeles Lakers in 1974, he went on to lead the team, first as a coach and then as the general manager. He lives in California and West Virginia.

Sean Deveney is a veteran sportswriter and author of many books, including The History of the NBA in Twelve GamesFun CityGreed and Glory, and Before Wrigley Became Wrigley. Sean writes articles for Heavy Sports and Forbes, and was a longtime contributor to The Sporting News. He lives in Massachusetts with his partner, Carrie, and his daughter, Maisie.
