Hidden deep beneath Manhattan lies a warren of tunnels, sewers, and galleries, mostly forgotten by those who walk the streets above. There lies the ultimate secret of the Museum Beast.

When two grotesquely deformed skeletons are found deep in the mud off the Manhattan shoreline, museum curator Margo Green is called in to aid the investigation. Margo must once again team up with police lieutenant D'Agosta and FBI agent Pendergast, as well as the brilliant Dr. Frock, to try and solve the puzzle. The trail soon leads deep underground, where they will face the awakening of a slumbering nightmare. Download and start listening now!

" This is the sequel to The Relic, this book I thought was better than the first one (The Relic). Anyone that has been to NYC will get the chills reading this! "

" still enthralling and scary - but not AS scary as #1. whew! "

" This book is a good sequel to Relic and follows smoothly from the premise of the first book. As always, I love to read about Agent Pendergast, Bill Smithback and all of the others. Again excellent action and suspense. I'd recommend this to those who liked the first book. On the other hand, I am finding that I am liking some of the later pendergast stories even more. It is good though to back up and see what the how the character developed. Next for me is "Brimstone". "

" Great sequel to Relic. Preston has an incredible talent for carrying multiple minor plots lines simultaneously throughout the story that all culminate in blockbuster endings. "

" The follow up to Relic is great. It is not the perfect read that relic was but still is great. All the characters are back from relic and are in trouble with the creature again. We get a really good background of how the creature happens. That part in itself is fascinating. This is the strength of these books is their research is top notch nothing is wasted. The action leaves you fulfilled at the end. These books are real page turners and you can burn through a night reading them. "

" I thought the book did a very good job following the excellent book Relic. I did find the first third a bit predictable but that may be a result of it being a sequel. However, I was very surprised later in the book and enjoyed a solid plausible explaination for the turn of events which turned the book around for me. I was torn on the rating and to me it was a solid 4.5, so I rounded up. "

" Second books are often inferior to the debut. This sequel is exceptional. If you don't love Pendergast by now, you probably didn't finish Relic anyway. "

" I really like these guys books. They are fast reads and creepy. I have gone back to read them all in order, but so far my favorite has been Still Life With Crows. They are scary so stay away if you don't care for scary books. "

" I liked this one more than the first book. My only complaint is that Smithback seemed a kind of pointless to the story. He really could have been dropped, along with his side story, and it would not have hurt the book. "

" Reliquary is a good book on its own but when compared to its prequel it does not satisfy the reader. The author's description of the 'Mole People' is truly fascinating. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loved the Pendergast but do not expect it to be the same as 'Relic'. "

" I read this book a long time ago and absolutely adored it. It's been a while, though. Hmmm... might want to read it again, come to think of it. FAR better than the movie that it was based off of. If you like archaeological thrillers, these two are the best! "
