" I really enjoyed this book because of its happy ending. The story is very romantic and appealing to young women going through the same times as the Bennet girls. It is a loving story that I found entertaining to read. Both main characters end up married and happy which make me the reader happy. "

" This is my third Austen review. I'll admit that I originally hated this book. However, it wasn't until a roommate of mine had me watch the A&E series with Colin Firth that I thought, okay, I need to revisit the book. Upon re-reading it, I realized that in high school, I just did not fully understand or appreciate the characters, the story, or the themes. Now, it is one of my favorite books. Austen illustrates the differences between low and high class, but also how personality can bridge that gap. It was as if to say, even back then, it is who you are that matters not where you come from. "

" Read this many years ago. I had no idea what to expect except that I'd heard of Jane Austen as being one of those authors one must read. It took a few pages before I realized Austen was having fun with her characters. Then I was able to relax and enjoy the ride. Jane shows us so much in this wonderful book. "

About the Author
Author Jane Austen

Jane Austen (1775–1817) is considered by many scholars to be the first great woman novelist. Born in Steventon, England, she later moved to Bath and began to write for her own and her family’s amusement. Her novels, set in her own English countryside, depict the daily lives of provincial middle-class families with wry observation, a delicate irony, and a good-humored wit.
