Sometimes playing cat and mouse is no game....

Play? Right.

My pride is under fire from all sides. My father's authority is in question and my lover is in exile - which means I haven't laid eyes on Marc's gorgeous face in months. And with a new mother and an I-know-everything teenager under my protection, I don't exactly have time to fantasize about ever seeing him again.

Then our long-awaited reunion is ruined by a vicious ambush by strays. Now our group is under attack, Marc is missing, and I will need every bit of skill and smarts to keep my family from being torn apart. Forever.

"Prey is the fourth book in the Shifters series by Rachel Vincent. This is the best book in the series thus far in my opinion. There is a mixture of emotions in this story that leave you with the urgency to move on to the next book. In this story, the Pride is suffering under the manipulation of Councilman Malone and the tribunal council, Marc is still exiled and has gone missing, Kayci is slowly killing herself by refusing to shift and the pride loses a member and will never be the same again. While the dynamics of the series continues Faythe makes a really poor choice by seeking comfort from Jace, while Mark is till missing. I am loving this series!!!"

" I was not pleased with Faythe this time around. I don't like the relationship development or lack there of in this book. She should not have done what she did. Things are complicated enough without her messing things with Marc. Hope she doesn't break his heart...again. I am onto the next one but with much less enthusiasm. "

" Wow. A lot happens in this book and it ends on a line that will definitely make you read the next one. Poor Faythe has so much going on in this book then she goes and makes it WORSE. Now there are major repercussions that she'll have to deal with soon. I'm worried to see how it turns out for her. "
