Bill Johnstone (1908–1996) was a radio and television actor best known for his role as Lamont Cranston in the long-running radio show The Shadow, which he stayed with for five seasons. His distinctive voice was well-suited for characters who were well-off, and this allowed him to portray The Shadow with more authority than had his predecessor, Orson Welles.
