"Peter is a bit of a pompous, naughty little boy but (somehow) still entirely lovable. Peter Pan (the book) was surprisingly charming and a fun book to read. Fantasy and adventure, ahoy! Also, this book was beautifully written. I recommend that everyone checks out this book at least once."

" Cute and whimsical with a humorous and gentlemanly writing style (think 1900 British man), but I'm not sure that I would read this to my children. A bit too violent and sexist for my taste. I think we'll watch the Disney version instead. :) "

" An interesting read. The language is not what you're used to as this was published about 100 years ago (hard to believe!) It was still fun to read and a vocabulary builder. Also had a rather dark side. Was fun to compare to the Disney retelling. "

" It wasn't what I expected. I'd been in the play, I'd seen probably every version of the movie and thought I knew all there was to this story, but was happy to find out it was much better than everything I thought it would be. "

" Totally misrepresented by Disney, you'd be better off watching Hook to get a grasp of the real Pan. It is probably a better story for adults than children with plenty of humorous irony and wonderful characterizations of the oddities of adult humans. "

" Bijzondere, geannoteerde editie die ik hier niet kan vinden, de annotaies en de achtergrond over JM Barrie zijn waardevolle toevoeging. Verhaal zelf blijft, ook als volwasene, magisch, vooral ook door de speicale schrijfstijl en de meerlagigheid. "

" Like others on here, I did not care for this. LIke the light heartedness of what I thought Peter Pan was all about, The Disney idea is much better than the inspiration it was drawn from. Think the book skipped around and never answered a lot of the story line. "

" I think Peter Pan holds the title for being my first crush i had on an imaginary character...its the main problem with girls isn't it, to love someone who is aloof and unreachable, but makes life unpredictable and fun... "

" So this was good book. A little on the strange side at times but I was actually pretty surprised how close some adaptations have been. I think it address some interesting ideas about growing up and losing the innocence of youth. I think its worth reading. "
