"I missed this one as I was working my way through the series...I enjoy them immensely...characters are rich and the setting wonderful...I love the high desert...Sheriff Brady has a lot on her plate, as usual and must solve a number of deaths, including a classmate of Jenny's...great red as usual"

" Good series set in the country area where my daughter, Jana, lives. I like the characterization and the ideals. The mysteries are good puzzles, realistic, with a hint of jeopardy and adventure. They are for mature readers, with some language and frankness about feelings and sexuality (very tasteful and not usually explicit). This novel centers around Jenny, sheriff Joanna Brady's daughter, who, out exploring during a campout with a wild friend, finds the body of an heiress--and puts herself in danger. "

" Paradise Lost was a good book. I'm not as excited about the Joanna Brady series, but some have been pretty good. I'd put this one at about 'okay'. It wasn't boring, but nothing in it really 'wowed' me. I did enjoy the twist at the end and if you like murder mysteries with very little profanity, then J.A. Jance is definitely for you. I'm trying to read all her books, and this one is closer to the end so it's better to start at the beginning. One of these days I'll have to create a page of series' that I like, but until then, you can always google her. "

" I liked the book, but it got kind of boring and the language of course made it more difficult. The book really gave me some deep insight about the fall of man and satan's role. I do not neccesarily agree with the way satan's character was portrayed but overall the book was an average read. "

" good book and continuation of the series. There were a few loose ends which were not addressed in the book. The most glaring one was about the first victim's sister. She stayed in town but is never heard from again. That left me wanting more. One more to go in the Joanna Brady series. "
