A passionate, sweeping novel of a love that transcends time

When twentysomething Wall Street analyst Kate Wilson attracts the notice of the legendary Julian Laurence at a business meeting, no one’s more surprised than she is. Julian’s relentless energy and his extraordinary intellect electrify her, but she’s baffled by his sudden interest. Why would this handsome British billionaire—Manhattan’s most eligible bachelor—pursue a pretty but bookish young banker who hasn’t had a boyfriend since college?

The answer is beyond imagining—at least at first. Kate and Julian’s story may not have begun in the moneyed world of twenty-first-century Manhattan but in France during World War I, when a mysterious American woman emerged from the shadows of the Western Front to save the life of Captain Julian Laurence Ashford, a celebrated war poet and infantry officer.

Now, in modern-day New York, Kate and Julian must protect themselves from the secrets of the past—and trust in a true love that transcends time and space.

" This book was a pleasant surprise. I honestly thought I wouldn't like it or else I'd just be bored. But that was not the case. It took me no time at all to be sucked into Julian and Kate's story. Their romance was so breathtaking and heartbreaking at the same time. I think this is a love story that many different age groups can appreciate and enjoy. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Ann Ferguson | 2/14/2014

" An absolute confection of a book. Romance, intrigue, time travel....I loved it! A delightful way to spend a Saturday... "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Donna | 1/28/2014

" Enjoyed this book overall but I found the first half of the book to be much more interesting than the second half.... found the second half to be a bit confusing and think the romance aspect was a bit overdone and repetitive. I do think that Overseas was very well written, and even more so, considering it is the author's first novel. I actually would give this novel three and a half stars if I were able. I would recommend this book, especially to those who enjoy reading about time travel. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Kim Erickson | 1/18/2014

" I am loving this heart-stoppingly romantic book! Great plot AND a great love story! "

" So ridiculous, although it was a fun and fast read. It was a bit like relationship porn. "

" This book was a lot like the "TIme Traveller's Wife" which I wasn't a huge fan of. However I thought this one was good, a quick read, nice romantic story. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Courtney Milford | 12/21/2013

" Not especially good. Kind of a clean version of 50 Shades with a little Time Traveler's Wife thrown in. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Danielle Rush | 12/4/2013

" I enjoyed reading this book. I thought the author used foreshadowing effectively, giving away some of the clues, but not to a point where I knew exactly, for sure, what was going to happen. It is a quick read. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Amanda | 11/20/2013

" Not really a romance novel, although it focuses on a romance. There's mystery and suspense as well -- very well done. "

" Enjoyed this book. On the same line as Disvovery of Witches, but no witches or vampires. Just time travel. "

" If you want something fun and light, but also unique this is the love story for you. It has everything from time travel to wall street. It probably won't be the best book you've ever read, but I think most people will enjoy it. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Pauline | 3/31/2013

" Very, very romantic! If you don't mind a bit of "back in time" stuff it's very well done. I couldn't put it down. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Nicole | 8/10/2012

" I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet, gentle love story. The whole time traveling explanation didn't really work for me... but it didn't end up detracting too much from the plot. "
