Nobody does vampires like Meg Cabot, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Princess Diaries and Queen of Babble novels. Overbite is Meg’s sexy and hip sequel to her bestselling Insatiable, the story of a soap opera writer with precognitive powers who is recruited into the Vatican’s war against demons and the undead. Unfortunately Meena Harper has a major Achilles Heel—namely her lingering affection for her ex-boyfriend, Lucien Antonescu, son of Dracula, the prince of darkness. Anyone who loves Twilight, True Blood, and Lynsay Sands, not to mention the singleton fiction of Sophie Kinsella, Jennifer Weiner, and Jane Green, is going to want to sink their teeth into Overbite.

"Great follow up to Insatiable. I was happy at how she ended the book for her characters, even if there are some things I still have some questions about. I would have liked some more scenes between Meena and Alaric to develop their relationship a bit more, and Meena's friends were left out of the fun this time around, but I'm not sure how they would have fit in anyway. I think this seems like the end of it all, but then it also left some things open for another possible book. Either way, it was the perfect summer read. I wish Meg Cabot could write faster!"

“Cabot sure has come a long way from The Princess Diaries.”
— Library Journal" I rarely pick up books at random in the library but that is how I found this one. I began reading and was intrigued if not a little lost. Without my typical book research I found myself reading book 2 in a series. Even with the holes from not reading the previous work I enjoyed "Overbite". It has a nice witty charm and not heavy handed in vampire references. Although I must say I'm not ecstatic about how things ended for Lucien. Here's fingers crossed for book 3. "
— Kadie, 2/5/2014" Really enjoyed this book. Found it much less annoying than the first one. Where so many references were made to campy vampire "facts", Overbite was more true and original. I'm hoping this is not the last one! "
— Shelly, 2/3/2014" OK i had such high hopes for this book I absolutely loved this first one and this one let me down... It answered all the questions I had from the first one but it left me feeling empty and disappointed. I mean this is such a let down and this book is so unlike Meg Cabots writing. I can only ask what in the world happened! So disappointed, I mean I would of been happier without the sequel. sigh. "
— Trishawna, 1/25/2014" I loved loved the first book, and while this was a decent follow-up, I got the feeling Cabot was stretching the story. The cast of characters was too big for this shorter sequel, and the ending never really felt resolved to me. I love the character of Alaric, and he came off as somewhat anemic in this one. But as I am an Alaric fan, I was very happy with the way Cabot wrapped his and Meena's story arc. I just wish he'd gotten more of a spotlight. Meena's brother Jon got a lot more attention in this volume of the positive type- his character really shined. If this had been the first book in the series, I would have been disappointed, but as a sequel it's adequate. "
— Vicki, 1/21/2014" I liked this book, because of Alaric. He was such an awesome character and I was so glad that Meena ended up with him and that Lucien had a better way of leaving. My only problem was that Meena has a tendency to aggravate her readers with all her crying. Even Alaric questioned that. "
— Wafiyah, 1/5/2014" I enjoyed the story and I can empathize with a lot of other reviewers... I was definitely looking forward to Lucien and Meena's romance and was thoroughly surprised at the stories twists and turns, but I cannot condemn Meg for making a book unpredictable! I did enjoy it a lot, though! "
— katy, 12/22/2013" It was a let down after the first book :( "
— Alexis, 12/19/2013" I loved Insatiable. I was hoping Overbite would be just as good. I really had my fingers crossed that Meena and Lucien would be able to be together. So the ending didn't really make me happy. It just seemed a little hasty and contrived. I guess the series is over with this book. :( "
— Chanpreet, 12/17/2013" Please stick with your cutesy chick lit! I like vampire tales, but did not enjoy these as much. "
— Sarah, 12/10/2013" Only one way to sum up this book: intriguing, alluring and dangerously addictive. Oh, and I'm officially in love with Alaric Wulf. Just so you know!:D "
— Booknut, 12/6/2013" Did not like the end... Although I do always complain about how we have to have a "happy American ending" but damn... "
— Andee, 12/2/2013" Fantastic follow up! "
— Melissa, 10/24/2013" I've got to admit, I just sort of skim-read the first book in the series and wasn't too impressed. But after reading this one which I thoroughly enjoyed, it looks like I need to go back and give the first one another look..... "
— Vicki, 2/21/2013" When I bought this book I hadn't realized it was part of series. I think that I might have liked it more had I read the first one. But I had a hard time really getting into the book. I enjoyed it enough, but it was not one of my favorites. "
— Felice, 1/23/2013" if you have read the 1st book, you definately want to read the 2nd. If you haven't read either, I would suggest that you give them both a try ... in order ... because they are defintely worth the time. "
— Tricia, 12/6/2012" Action-packed, exciting story. "
— Elisa, 10/20/2012" Good so far, loved the first one. Very light easy book to read. Meg Cabot just has that style. "
— Karaydickinson, 5/1/2012" Meg Cabot has created another winner. I LOVE ALARIC WULF!!! "
— Randi, 4/1/2012" Great book, really enjoyed it, a bit sad, but really loved this book! "
— Louisa, 12/14/2011" This has to be the worst, thrown-together ending I have read in a long time. Not even entertaining, the last 15 chapters weren't even interesting. What a crock of crap! "
— Besdale, 11/27/2011" I really liked how it ended, wrapped up nicely. "
— Caroline, 11/19/2011" Enjoyed it, but not as much as the "Insatiable." Sequels never seem to be as good. "
— Katri, 8/26/2011" It started really slow for me, I almost stopped reading it but half way through got my interest and ended strong. THEN I found out it was a trilogy, LOL. "
— Serena, 7/7/2011" Loved this book. I can't hardly wait until the next one comes out! "
— Meli, 7/7/2011" It was totally a different twist to some of the other teen romance novels I read. I liked it enough that I would read the sequel. "
— Lauren, 7/3/2011" Interesting and exciting. I am in the middle of reading a ton of YA books, but this one was better than many others. I didn't think Cabot had it in her, but it was a very fun read. Can't wait to see what else Pierce has in store for her... "
— Emily, 6/29/2011" I found myself skimming just to be done. I didn't connect with the main characer at all. "
— Katelyn, 6/28/2011" The book was ok. It was a hard read. Throughout the book, I was begging for it to be over. Then it flipped on me at the end. It got better. I was surprised to find myself looking forward to the next book in the series. It made me mad. "
— Phyllis, 6/27/2011" oooooh it was so good! It started kinda slow and predictable (ish). Kind of the same, simple YA writing style... But that ending was such a cliff-hanger! I can't wait til the next book! "
