Publisher Description

After falling in love and making a quick exit from her nine-year career in the USAWMD (United States Agency for Weapons of Mass Destruction), ex-spy Sally Sin does her best to become Lucy Hamilton, a stay-at-home mom in San Francisco. No one, not even her adoring husband Will, knows about her secret agent escapades -- chasing no-good masterminds through perilous jungles, escaping evil assassins, and playing dangerous games of cat and mouse with her old nemesis, Ian Blackford, a notorious and dashing illegal arms dealer.

In her new life as Lucy Hamilton, she squeezes inside forts crafted from couch cushions by her three-year-old son Theo, makes organic applesauce, and frequents the zoo. But sometimes her well-honed spy reflexes refuse to lay low. She can't help breaking into her own house to check on the babysitter or stop herself from tossing the yoga instructor who gets on her nerves. And when Ian Blackford, who is supposed to be dead, once again starts causing trouble for the USAWMD, the agency becomes desperate to get Sally back on the job.

How can Sally or Lucy or whatever her name is save the planet while at the same time keeping her own family's world from spinning out of control?

Every bit as much fun as a spy-mom thriller ought to be, Original Sin is a fast-paced adventure story for mothers and spies, and anyone who has ever dreamed about being either.

"I recieved a copy in the mail today and liked what the back said. So I read it before all my other books that i want to read I just down loaded 40 books yesterday on my kindle. I thourly enjoyed reading it. I want books about sally! I even like the bad guy.( at least one of them) I did guess right on one character the man that came in winter. Lucy is an ordinary mom with a 3 year old. but for 9 years she was a spy and her former nemiss is back and they want to use her as bait to capture him. so she finds out why he is back and protect her family at same time and get them to leave her family alone. Sally speaks a bunch of languages and traveled on many fake names and places. Lucy is the name she was using when she met her future husband. I liked the way the story went back and forth with her rembering past cases and events mingles with the here and now. it is quite a story. I can hardly believe its her first one hopefuly not her last for sure."

Quotes

  • “Smart, sassy, sexy Sally Sin is an absolute delight of a heroine whom I predict will be around delighting readers for a very long time. And her first adventure, Original Sin, is pure entertainment gold.”

" Lucy Parks Hamilton, aka Sally Sin, is an irresistible character combination--half a tough, smart former spy who can still dispense with a gang of teenage would-be carjackers on her own, and half a totally devoted but overwhelmed mom of a rollicking 3-year-old, a mom who loves nothing more than holding her jam-covered toddler while he sleeps. Forced out of retirement to deal with a spy case from the past, Lucy now alternates parental responsibilities with shady deeds that would be illegal if she weren't doing them for the good of the world, all of which is further complicated because she is trying to keep her loving, save-the-Earth husband clueless about her alternate life. " I really enjoyed this first novel by her. It was easy to follow after the first chapter. It was very entertaining and some funny moments as well. I would gladly read the next novel with this character Sally Sin in it. :) "

" I hate to label Original Sin as "chick lit", but must be done. Don't let that under estimate the awesomeness of this book! This was a super fun read about Lucy Hamilton a.k.a. Sally Sin. Her roles are wife, mother and out of the ordinary spy. "

" Yes, I too am in awe that this is a debut novel! There are so many things that I enjoyed about this one. The mix of spy life and stay at home momness makes me both laugh and cringe, but I also find it super relatable! (Except the spy thing...) Can't wait for the next one! "

" This was a fun book. It's a little corny and a bit drawn out at time, but I can't honesty say that I haven't ever wanted to be a spy. Who hasn't wanted to be James Bond in heels!?! What a fun ride it would be - until you wanted to have a family. All in all, it's a good summer read. "

" I needed something fun and breezy to read this week, and this totally fit the bill. I would call it Alias:The Mommy years to give you an idea of the plot. I really enjoyed this and will probably read other books in the series when they come out. "
