His team consisted of a group of volunteers from the executive ranks of his corporation, hand-picked and trained by a retired Green Beret officer. To free the imprisoned Americans, they would face incalculable odds on a mission that only true heroes would have dared.…

"In this account of a real-life rescue of two EDS employees captured in Iran, Follet gives a fascinating glimpse into a corporate world that no longer seems to exist. In addition to Follett's careful attention to detail, I was impressed by the commitment that all these men had to one another. "

" Proof that you don't have to make this stuff up. The book documents a true life rescue that involves American and Iranian heroes against teh evil of the Khomeini regime. Wonderful thriller! "

" I was coerced into reading this book by an old friend who ran for Congress in NJ. He is a Republican, I am not. We both loved H. Ross Perot, though, who was shown in a heroic light in this book. It provided some common ground for our brief discussions(though he tried ardently to get me to become pro-life and etc) on politics. To my knowledge, this is Ken Follett's only Non-Fiction book. I would like to know exactly what Perot is doing today. I would like to sit down at a Texas Chat-n-Chew and ask him questions. That would be quite a day. "
