"This answers a lot of questions that a lot of other books aimed at the same age group gloss over. In particular I bought it because it doesn't try to pretend that everybody's heterosexual, nor that people only ever have sex to have babies. There is a good discussion of different body shapes and sizes, and a fairly thorough treatment of STDs and of contraception (both of which, however, are slightly dated now). A cartoon bird and bee provide light relief in the form of commentary throughout the book. I'd recommend this to any parent with preteen or early teen children."

" Its Perfectly Normal is a non-fiction book dedicated to growing up and the changes that take place to the teen body. The book explores both phhsical and emotional changes that take place in a young teen during their maturation into adulthood. The author explains in relatively simple language that the changes taking place is "perfectly normal". Adolesence is a difficult time, and I would highly recommend this book as a conversation starter for parents with their young teens. "

" I love this book! I discovered it when Allen was about 2 years old and decided it would be his 'sex talk' book. Cartoon illustrations, lots of humor and all the information to let them know what it's all about. "

" Great informational book about sex and sexuality for tweens and teens. Loaded with pictures so no one can say they're not normal. All sizes, shapes and colors! Not titillating, but accepting and understanding of its audience. "

" Bought the previous books in this series and my eldest has been asking to read this one. Made him wait until I noticed definite B.O. wafting from his direction. We talked about the next few years, hair, and deodorant. I'm so happy books like these are available for youngsters. "

" I got to meet the author in college - guest speaker in a children literature class. Apparently the illustrations were a lot harder than the text. The decision to actually show sex was a big one and the biggest part of showing two naked bodies "doing it" was realizing just how, well, silly sex looks! "

" Easy to read, detailed descriptions of the body as it changes to adulthood. Covers a multitude of questions and topics that a young teen would have regarding sex and sexuality. "
