Publisher Description

Brodie Logan had thought her marriage to Colin was a match made in heaven. But now her once-loving husband is distant and unfriendly, so she makes the life-changing decision to leave him. She moves into Chestnuts, a ramshackle old house in Liverpool inherited from her mother. Deciding to let out the rooms to lodgers, three very different women come to join Brodie.

Life at Chestnuts seems idyllic. The four women while away the brilliant summer under the trees in the enchanting garden of the big house, forming friendships that will last a lifetime. But it isn't all a bed of roses - and nothing lasts forever.

" This was my mum's book so I wasn't expecting much, surprisingly I quite enjoyed it. I liked how Lee was able to intertwine the lives of the women in such a way that make you feel that your living in the house, experiencing their journeys with them. "

" disappointing for this author. I was expecting her normal standard, it was more modern chic lit, though very readable. Not a keeper or one Ii would ever reread. "

" Well, i enjoyed the story even though it seems a bit unrealistic. I wanted to follow the characters to see what will happen. I miss a bit of emotional connection with their choices and decisions they made. Good read for a summer break. "
