"I enjoyed this story even though it was predictable. It wasn't as much of a thrill reading this story as her previous stories were but it was not a bad read. To me, the main characters didn't seem to have this chemistry as the characters in the previous stories and in some way, I found them unrealistic in certain areas of the book. I found the story really had a lot of potential. One thing I wasn't keen on was how often the timeline shifted from past to present to past occured throughout the book and at times this seemed confusing (maybe I was just too tired to concentrate)"

" Gabe and Skylar's story was intense. The hell that they go thru made me cringe in places. she's good at writing the vileness in the world and that is a compliment. these characters aren't perfect and they show their insecurities which make them more real for me. I'm enjoying reading these LCR operatives stories because they are mentioned so frequently in the others. I'm glad to see Skylar not have rose colored glasses on when it comes to her father and godfather for long after suspicions were stated and then when the truth was revealed. Now on to Cole! "

" Totally loved this book. I was always sad when I had to put it down. The main characters made me a little upset with their denial of their true feelings for each other. Yet, if the book went my way it probably would not have been that long. ;) Christy Reece is an excellent writer and I can't wait to start Second Chance!! "

" Not really as satisfying and mind-gripping as the first three LCR books but still a good read nevertheless. For the record, the usual elements of an LCR novel are still present: tortured heroes, dark secrets, terrifying situations and good triumphing over evil. Only they lack in their intensity. "
