About the Authors

John Russo wrote the screenplay to the zombie classic Night of the Living Dead, which he subsequently adapted into a novel. His other screenwriting credits include The Majorettes, Midnight, and Santa Claws. He also wrote a screenplay entitled Return of the Living Dead. While this was never filmed, it is now available in novel form. He has worked as both an actor and producer as well.

George A. Romero (1940–2017) was an iconic filmmaker, writer, and editor. His most famous accomplishment is the creation of what we now know as “zombies” via his films Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and Day of the Dead.
