Since she was just a little girl, Jessie Stone has dreamed up hundreds of marriage proposals and fantasized about wedding dresses and falling in love. She’s been a bridesmaid nearly a dozen times, waved numerous couples off to sunny honey-moons, and shopped in more department stores for half-price fondue pots than she cares to remember. But shopping for one key component in her own happily ever after hasn’t been as productive–a future husband. The man she thought she would marry cheated on her. The crush she has on her best friend Blake is at very best…well, crushing. And speed dating has only churned out memorable horror stories. So when God shows up one day, in the flesh, and becomes a walking, talking part of her life, Jessie is skeptical. What will it take to convince her that the Almighty has a better plan than one she’s already cooked up in her journals?

"At first, I did not realize that this was a Christian novel. I really appreciate the honesty and relatability of the main character. I definitely could place myself in her shoes as someone who stubbornly wants to "write her own story". It was an amazing journey through a woman's desire to trust more in God and build a better relationship with Him. This was a very inspirational story, that I would even read again, knowing exactly what will happen next."

" I'm giving it two stars for having some funny moments. The beginning started off okay, I had settled myself for typical Chick Lit. But then a few chapters into it, I'm wondering if it's taking a Drop Dead Fred turn. I finished it, but didn't care for it at all. Note to self: Stop reading chick lit! "
— Jennie, 2/9/2014" Interesting (though controversial) premise, and I have no doubt there will be those who welcome the approach. I, however, cannot suspend disbelief to this degree. "
— Cathleen, 2/7/2014" Even for a guy, I have to say I was really entertained by this novel. Could relate in my own "guy" way. :) And found many spiritual truths that were good reminders for my journey in life, as well as in relationships. In a nutshell, very funny, surprising, and full of wisdom. Great job Cheryl & Rene! "
— John, 2/5/2014" This book was laugh out loud funny. I loved it. It is pretty corny but was so light that I did not mind the corniness. "
— Rosemary, 1/15/2014" It's a bit strange but very charming. I can't say I wholeheartedly recommend it, but I enjoyed reading it, and it was not a waste of time. Now you are curious, aren't you? You'll have to see for yourself. It's truly an unusual book and difficult to pigeonhole. "
— Kandra, 1/14/2014" I love love loved this book. I couldnt put it dont my only problem was it that I wanted to yell at jessie and tell her that god was taking the face of he future husband. And that everytime that someone could see him was because it was him. But she finaly got it. Again I loved this book. "
