Christy Award winner Nancy Moser is the best-selling author of more than 16 popular books of faith and inspiration. In this compelling historical novel, Wolfgang Mozart's little-known sister Nannerl tells the tale of her own bittersweet life. Eleven-year-old Nannerl is arguably the best keyboard player in all of Europe. Yet because her six-year-old brother Wolfie can play almost as well as she, he receives virtually all the praise and adulation. Traveling far and wide with her family, she and her brother perform before the crowned heads of Europe. Social convention and public clamor relegate her to living life in the shadow of a prodigy. But when will Nannerl ever realize her own dreams and aspirations? "Moser's writing is smooth" and replete with "fascinating historical details" Publishers Weekly "Mozart's Sister is a masterpiece of lyrical prose; a deeply moving story that embodies a love for music and a fascination with history. Bravisima, Ms. Moser!"-Tamera Alexander, best-selling author of Rekindled.

"What an enjoyable read! This book was writen from Nanneral's view. (Mozart's sister) She was as accomplshed and talented as he was, but because she was a woman she forced to stay in the shadows while her brother was in the spotlight. I really enjoyed this author, I've looked up other books she's written and I plan to check them out of the library to read. If I enjoy those half as much as I enjoyed this one, my gas money to the library will not have been wasted!"

— Tamera Alexander, best-selling author of Rekindled." I learned a lot about Mozart and his sister ... I must not have been paying attention in music history class, or if I was I had forgotten that he had a sister who was also talented. "
— Kati, 2/15/2014" A work of fiction, based on real life history. Another talented woman cursed by the era in which she lived. I kept hoping she would break out of her circumstances, but it wasn't to be until late in her life. I still feel she redeemed herself, but it was with the help of family, not society. Mozart was a genius, not a warm hearted individual, but was made ruthless by his father. Interesting tale. "
— Shelee, 2/8/2014" This is the story of Mozart's sister written more as a story. I didn't know Mozart had a sister that was musicaly talented and performed with him while they were children. She wasn't allowed to progress musically because she was a woman. The author had to fill in the holes to the story. I liked the book. "
— Erin, 2/6/2014" A musically talented girl struggles in the shadow of her brother. Interesting perspective on history. "
— Julie, 2/5/2014" I loved it. Historical novel but based on the saved letters of their father Lopold Mozarts, it tells the story of the Mozart children , both prodigies, from the sister 's point of fire. Interesting, informative, and heart trending. "
— Patricia, 2/2/2014" Very interesting! I didn't know that Mozart had a sister and that she was so talented. Great read! "
— Michelle, 1/11/2014" I truly loved this book. I picked it up because it looked interesting but had to say I did not know Mozart HAD a sister before reading this. It is a touching and very well written book and very full of facts. Made me cry ....keep tissues handy. "
— Wen, 12/6/2013" Difficult to say whether this is a well-researched book or not, but I found it somewhat interesting. I kept waiting for the story to start though. It seemed to lack anything exciting and was the same level throughout. "
— Miranda, 11/27/2013" It is no doubt the best book I have ever read. I love it!!! It is amazing. "
— Lana, 11/5/2013" As a huge fan of the movie "Amadeus", I was curious about Mozart's lesser-known sister, Nannerl. This bio-fiction work painted an interesting picture of a woman's place in that time, as well as insights into the Mozart family dynamics. "
— Brooke, 10/25/2013" What a whiner! Mozart's sister complained about everything. Her father was a domineering jerk. Too little about Mozart. Still, it had a few interesting details about the lives of the Mozart family and I thought the epiloge was kind of sweet. "
— Jenny, 10/1/2013" oh-so depressing "
— Katie, 6/23/2013" fiction about Mozart's sister, Nannerl. Rec. in CCM magazine "
— Michelle, 3/25/2013" To be honest I found this book dull and depressing. "
— Jessica, 9/20/2012" Just couldn't feel anything for the characters. Nothing drew me in. "
— Debbie, 9/16/2012" The writing slacked 3/4 through the book, It was very fun and interesting with her and her brother Wolfgang preforming around Europe. I loved the connection Nannerl had with music, and the faith that got her through her busy and discourageing life. "
— Meadow, 4/20/2012" Nothing special, but I liked it...I've not finished the fact/fiction bit yet, but the story's finished so I'm marking this read... "
— Alexandra, 3/26/2012" So much has been written about Wolfgang Mozart, but so little has been written about his sister. With this book, Nannerl is finally given a voice. An excellent read. "
— Emily, 8/31/2011" Well written...based on lots of facts/research. Easy read "
— Janette, 8/17/2011" I loved the insight into the life of not just Mozart, but his family as well. If you love historical fiction, this is a book for you! "
— Jenny, 5/6/2011" Another book longer than it needed to be ... are authors getting paid per word now or what?? Anyway, if you can make it through the repetition of the first half or so, it gets pretty good. The end was actually very touching - it just should've come sooner. "
— Leslie, 2/4/2011" I loved learning about the Mozart family, but the book dragged on a bit. "
— Teresa, 1/25/2011" Captured the life of the Mozart family really well. Unfortunate the possibilities for women were non existent and your life was always dependent on someone else with more power, for men and women. "
— Jennifer, 1/22/2011" Very interesting! I didn't know that Mozart had a sister and that she was so talented. Great read! "
— Michelle, 1/2/2011" Read this on a Kindle so it's different... finished now. Took me longer to read in this format than usual. Enjoyed the story and I felt for her struggles and binds that a young talented woman of this age would encounter. Some parts dragged out but good read on the whole. "
