Jess O'Brien has overcome a lot - the challenges of attention deficit disorder, the near bankruptcy of her beloved Inn at Eagle Point and her self-perception as a screwup in a family of overachievers. Now she's ready to share the future with a man. Her friends persuade her to join a dating service - but she gets no takers! Which is fine with her childhood friend, psychologist Will Lincoln, who's already chosen the perfect man for Jess: himself. Will has loved Jess practically forever. He knows her faults and her strengths. But for all Will's sincerity and charm, Jess fears he views her as some psychological case study. With her family and the town of Chesapeake Shores behind him, Will finally makes his case. But is it enough to convince Jess to take the risk of a lifetime?

" Good story but predictable. Drug a little at times but do enjoy the series. Get to feel like you really know the people. "

" Heroine is the youngest sister in the O'Brien clan. She was diagnosed--rather late--with attention deficit disorder and has struggled with it her whole life. Hero is a local boy she's known all her life, and when he became a psychologist, she started feeling like he was judging and scrutinizing her all the time. He watched her, though, because he liked her. And this story is how they finally come together--Jess and Will's story. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Lynda | 1/26/2014

" Its always interesting to read about the O'Brien family in Chesapeake Shores but this was a very flimsy story. Psychologist Will patiently pursues his life long love, Jess O'Brien who suffers from ADD. Jess moves forward then pulls back and this is repeatedly many times in the story to the point of being dull. More focus could have been directed at the parallel love story of the older couple Thomas O'Brien and Bree's sister-in-law Connie Collins. "

" I just can't help it I love this series, who wouldn't want to be part of the O'Brian family? Great read. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Cheryl | 11/26/2013

" I loved this series and enjoyed each and every book. It was set on the Chesapeake Bay which is near where I live and grewup, so that made them extra charming for me. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Sherry | 11/16/2013

" Another quick light read. Feel like I could probably write the next couple of books because I have read so many books in this series. There is another one in the series, but I'm on the wait list for the library. Time to read another author for awhile. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Tara | 10/22/2013

" Finally.. Will & Jess!!! So glad it worked out and she overcame all of her demons.. She made amends with her mom and herself! "

" OK. Dragged for me, I like that authors deal with people facing physical and mental challenges but this just seemed to drag. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Jacque | 12/11/2012

" This book was okay. I doubt I will go out and look for any more books of this set. The romance seemed really hard won and there was no suspense or anything else to the story other than the romance between these two shildhood friends. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Delilah Trenaman | 11/29/2012

" I really enjoyed this book. I like that addressed a condition that is quite common and that it helps the reader understand what it is like. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Sharon | 9/30/2012

" Jess is the last O'Brien to fall, no real surprise there. There were some interesting insights to the psychology of her ADD thanks Will being a shrink. I wish there had been more expanse on Connie and Thomas though. While I was glad to see them together there seems to be a whole lot glossed over. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Casey Dawes | 11/18/2011

" Not as good as some of the others by Sherryl Woods I've read, but I'm hooked on the characters, so I'll keep going. "

" Of the Sherryl Woods books I have read this was most disappointing! I actually felt like I was forcing myself to continue reading it to finish this book. The plot was so boring and predictable after the first few pages. Sorry Ms. Woods but this book was a Bust IMO. "
