About Georgia Byng

Georgia Byng grew up outside Winchester, England, near the river Itchen, with three naughty brothers and a sister. As a child she loved acting and at eighteen went to the Central School of Speech and Drama in London. After college she began to paint and write. The Sock Monsters, a comic strip for five- to seven-year-olds, was her first published book in 1995. Georgia lives in a house in London full of old and new art, as her husband is the conceptual artist Marc Quinn. They and their family, Tiger, Lucas, and Sky love to travel, their favorite destination being India.

Kate Burton, an Earphones Award–winning narrator, is best known for her work on Broadway in Hedda Gabler, The Elephant Man, The Constant Wife, and Spring Awakening, as well as on television in Grey’s Anatomy and Empire Falls. Her films include Big Trouble in Little China, The Ice Storm, Unfaithful, and Remember Me. She played the title role in Alice in Wonderland with her father, Richard Burton, on PBS.
