About the Authors
Jane Smiley is the author of numerous novels, including A Thousand Acres, which was awarded the Pulitzer Prize, as well of works of nonfiction and books for young adults. A member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters, she has also received the PEN Center USA Lifetime Achievement Award for Literature. In 2001 she was inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
Kate Bolick is a contributing editor for the Atlantic, writes for a variety of publications—including the Wall Street Journal, Cosmopolitan, New Republic, New York Times, Elle, and Vogue—and hosts Touchstones at the Mount, an annual interview series at Edith Wharton’s country estate, in Lenox, Massachusetts. Her first book, Spinster: Making a Life of One’s Own, was a New York Times Notable Book.
Jenny Zhang is an American writer and poet and the author of a poetry collection and an award-winning short-story collection.
Saskia Maarleveld is an experienced voice-over actress and Earphones Award–winning narrator. Raised in New Zealand and France, she is highly skilled with accents and dialects, and many of her books have been narrated entirely in accents other than her own. In addition to audiobooks, her voice can be heard in animation, video games, and commercials.
